Birmingham-based property developer Cordia UK has strengthened its team with a series of promotions and appointments to drive forward its active sites across the region.
With the ambition to transform underutilised areas in the West Midlands into thriving neighbourhoods with contemporary residential spaces and independent commercial hubs, Cordia UK has an ambitious and exciting pipeline of build-to-rent, build-to-sell and shared living projects.
Driving forward the company’s strategy and delivery, András Kárpáti has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer, following almost three years at Cordia UK in roles as co-CEO and Deputy Managing Director & Capital Markets Director.
András leads Cordia UK’s team of 16 in the delivery of its current and future projects, focused on the Great Hampton Street urban regeneration masterplan but also seeking to acquire new sites for development. He relocated to Birmingham in 2021, having previously worked as International Project Director at Cordia International in Budapest since 2019.
Supporting the delivery of Cordia UK’s developments is Anita Reindl, who recently joined the team as Project Manager. Anita brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in project management, having worked on multiple projects simultaneously since the start of her career in 2021. This includes the delivery of six projects with a total of circa 900 units while in her previous role as Senior Project Co-Ordinator at Cordia International in Budapest.
Strengthening the projects team, Michael Allen has been promoted to Project Co-Ordinator from his previous market research role. He is currently completing the Chartered Institute of Building Graduate Development Surveyor Programme, and is supporting Development, Strategy and Design Director, Alexa van Heerden, in the advancement of key projects.
Alexa joined the Cordia UK team in 2021 as Head of Strategy and Design, following over two decades in architectural practice in Birmingham. In recognition of her contribution to the organisation’s key developments, Alexa was recently promoted to Development, Strategy and Design Director.
Working with its parent company, Cordia International, the developer has unparalleled access to a wealth of knowledge and skills gained from international markets – with a 20-year track record of delivering high quality urban regeneration schemes across Central and Eastern Europe.
Cordia UK recently announced that work has started on site at its inaugural build-to-rent project, The Lampworks, which will deliver 148 apartments and is set to become one of Birmingham’s most energy-efficient projects – offering exclusively A and B EPC-rated dwellings.
