Why Birmingham?
As a team we live and breathe the local area, making us the experts on residential development in Birmingham. As ambassadors of the city and wider West Midlands region, we are passionate about attracting people to the area and are on a mission to make it a more attractive place to live.
Birmingham is the UK’s second city and due to its booming youth population, is in high demand for new homes. Recent investment has seen impressive new homes built across the region, alongside billions spent on retail, commercial and infrastructure developments – making Birmingham one of the top 50 best cities in the world to live in, according to Mercer Worldwide Quality of Living report.
A city of opportunity
Live in Birmingham
Birmingham is becoming an increasingly popular place to live due to its central location and impressive range of amenities on offer, from Michelin-starred restaurants to a thriving art and cultural scene.
People say that Brummies are amongst some of the friendliest in the UK, and the city enjoys a wide cultural diversity. Despite its recent growth, the city is still much cheaper to live in than London.
Work in Birmingham
The city has a growing technology sector, and is home to the headquarters of many national and international organisations – with HSBC, BT and Goldman Sachs just some of the big names recently relocating their head operations to Birmingham.
With five universities in Birmingham alone, and eight in the wider region, the city’s youth population is booming – with around 40% of the total population aged under 25. This makes it a highly desirable and entrepreneurial place to study in, with many graduates staying on in the city to work post-university.
Invest in Birmingham
Birmingham has been on an upward trajectory in recent years, especially following the investment and legacy secured for the 2022 Commonwealth Games. HS2 is another major project that will connect Birmingham to London in just 49 minutes, alongside the Smithfield regeneration scheme.
The inward investment in the city is bolstering its economy and its property and rental markets. Property prices in the city are set to increase in the next four years by around 25%, with rental values expected to grow by 14% in the same period. With competitive price growth and rental forecasts, the city is a prime place for property investment.
