First up, meet Christopher Gorman, Quantity Surveying Manager. Chris joined Cordia UK in December 2022 with a wealth of experience in quantity surveying for housebuilders and construction services companies and is part of our Design & Property Development Team.

Why did you join Cordia UK?
I joined Cordia because of their vision in placemaking and the Great Hampton Street masterplan. I was inspired by the team’s enthusiasm and vision to build something better and their willingness to try something different.
What does your role involve?
As Quantity Surveying Manager, I work closely with our technical and architectural team to ensure the best value for our developments, driving through efficiencies where possible. I work with multiple external Quantity Surveying practices to bring uniformity to our cost plans and ensure they are robust in the current market.
What do you most love about what you do?
I love the challenge the construction industry brings – every project brings something new, so you constantly evolve and learn. It’s a pleasure to look back on our schemes when they are complete, no matter how challenging they have been, and see how they contribute to the local area.
Tell us a surprising or fun fact about you.
I’m an avid Aston Villa fan, for my sins, and I love playing football… once having played for Walsall and Port Vale Youth teams!
What are you most looking forward to at Cordia UK?
I’m most looking forward to the wide range of schemes coming through our pipeline and seeing what we can achieve and how far we can push the boundaries, working with the great team we have in the UK and our European colleagues.
