Meet the team bringing Cordia UK’s vision to life: Laura Riveros

As a team, we channel our expertise and passion into projects we believe in, and our shared ethos of creativity, innovation and a passion for change supports our vision for the future of our city.

With that in mind, it’s time to meet the next member of the team. Meet our Investment Analyst, Laura Riveros. Laura joined the team in March 2023 with over six years of experience in the real estate industry, including a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of South Florida and an MsC in Business & Finance from the University of Warwick.

Hear from Laura about what she loves about working at Cordia UK.

Why did you join Cordia UK?

I joined Cordia to be part of a group of remarkable professionals with a clear vision to contribute to Birmingham’s residential landscape. The UK team is unmatched in its forward-thinking and innovative approach. It is inspiring and incredibly fun to be part of this.  

What does your role involve?

I work alongside my colleagues to ensure that our projects make financial sense. In a way, it’s translating the concept of each development into a finance framework that we can use to guide decision-making.

What do you most love about what you do?

I love that I have exposure to disciplines beyond finance. Every day I collaborate with our technical team, and I get to learn about the creative and technical side of each development – while I do love my Excel spreadsheets, it is great to see the projects through a different lense!

Tell us a surprising or fun fact about you.

As a proper Colombian, I enjoy outdoor adventures. The best one so far has been a weeklong quest in the Amazon jungle!

What are you most looking forward to at Cordia UK?

I look forward to seeing our projects in the Great Hampton Street masterplan come to life! This area of the Jewellery Quarter has such a vast potential, and it will be great to witness the materialisation of all the effort that is being made to transform it.
